Atomic Highway Crashed UFO and Roswell Sign Pendant – #282

The Atomic Highway pendant series was inspired by the shapes of vintage motel and diner signs. This one is entirely unique. It features a beaten and battered crashed and smoking UFO that took a piece out of the Roswell sign on its way down. The “smoke” rises from the destroyed UFO to form the bail on the pendant. It hangs crooked on the chain on purpose since everything is a bit wonky thanks to the crash. The UFO itself has a charred texture.

This hand forged Atomic Highway pendant measures 5/8 of an inch wide by 2 and 1/2 inches tall. This is a long pendant. The uneven “old sign” lettering is stamped into the surface of the silver. There is a ragged chunk that the UFO removed from the upper corner of the sign and scrapes on the sign itself where it came to rest.

Forged by me from sterling silver sheet and sterling wire. This is rustic. You can see the hammer marks and rough surface. This pendant has been darkened with silver oxidizer to bring out the hammer marks in some areas, then sealed with archival wax to help protect the finish.

20″ stainless steel bead chain included. If you want another length of stainless steel chain, let me know and I’ll replace the 20″ chain with one of your desired length (no additional cost).

This pendant has a large bail so you can easily replace the included stainless steel bead chain with your own chain.
