Wendigo Skull Pendant – #535

$235.00

1 in stock

This hand-forged silver wendigo skull pendant measures 2 and 5/8″ tall by 5/8″ wide.

This piece is not cast. It is fabricated from heavy silver stock (skull) and wire (antlers). The traditional story of the wendigo is a creature who started out as a starving man, gave in to eating human flesh, and turned into a monster. This wendigo was created as part of a collaboration piece with my art partner Lydia and “our” wendigo eats cactus, not flesh.

This skull pendant has 13 separate soldering operations necessary to create each one from separate cut and carved and forged silver pieces. The antlers have tiny balls on the end so they won’t poke you. The skull itself was cut and carved and drilled and shaped by hand from heavy rectangular silver bar stock.

This skull pendant is permanently mounted on this cord. It slides on the cord, but it cannot be removed without cutting the heavy black leather cord. The leather cord has a stainless steel lobster claw clasp.

Only 5 will ever be offered for sale. 4 of the 5 have been claimed. This is the last one.

Please see the photo of it being worn to gauge the size and where it sits on the neck. The one being worn is the photo is not the exact one for sale here, but it is the same size and general shape.

The leather cord length is 21″.

Cold-forged by me from sterling silver round wire. This is rustic. You can see the hammer marks and rough surface left by a variety of antique hammers that I use to shape the metal. Integrated bail on the back is soldered closed.
