The Atomic Highway pendant series was inspired by the shapes of vintage motel and diner signs. These shapes have been translated into modern retro designs. No two are exactly alike as they are made one at a time.
This pendant was inspired by the various designs of old motel signs.
This hand forged Atomic Highway pendant measures 1 and 1/2″ wide by 3 and 3/4″ tall. This is a large, LONG pendant.
Forged by me from sterling silver sheet and sterling wire. This is rustic. You can see the hammer marks and rough surface. This pendant has been darkened with silver oxidizer to bring out the hammer marks, then sealed with archival wax to help protect the finish.
This pendant features a coyote howling at the full moon. The coyote was cut from sterling silver sheet with a jeweler’s saw and the coyote has had silver dust fused to the surface for texture. The moon is domed, giving it dimension. The cross-piece that the coyote sits on is curved. The double-bail allows the piece to hand straight. The black oxidizing chemical brings out the texture on the coyote.
20″ stainless steel bead chain is included. The bails on this pendant are smaller in diameter so it may by difficult to swap the included chain for another one unless the clasp on another chain is small.
