Sun Snake – #S6

A hand-forged silver snake basking in the disc of the sun. Each one is forged by hand so each one is unique. Make sure to check measurements. This particular snake is 2 and 1/2″ long by 3/8″ wide – measuring from one side to the other side of the widest “loop” on the snake’s body.

Snakes sunbathe to warm their bodies so they can become more active. Sunbathing helps facilitate every life function of a snake from digestion to reproduction. We all need a little sun.

Snakes are celebrated as a symbol of rebirth and renewal due to their ability to shed their skin. The ancient Greeks associated snakes with healing. They have also been ascribed the attributes of wisdom, protection, and immortality. This snake, resting under a bright circle of the sun, is hand-forged with a hammer from thick sterling silver wire and oxidized to bring out the hammer marks.
